Bixi!!

I'm really excited about the new Bixi public bike system here in Montreal. So much so that I just got a 1-year subscription, so let's hope I use it! Similarly to Paris', the Bixi system allows users to pick up one of the super sleek bikes at a docking station, ride it around and then plug it back in at another. Intended for short trips, the first 30 minutes are free! (But you do require a 24h, monthly or yearly pass in order to use.) Priced at $78 taxes included for a full year, it's a steal. Much more affordable than being a victim of bike theft, since Montreal is sadly the bike theft capital of the world..
