This article by Joanna Goddard on Depression after weaning your baby.
Truly heartfelt and brave of her to have written something so personal.

have you seen this?
Last June, I blogged about these beautiful people's adoption story*, as they waited for their precious little girl to be theirs.
And now that she is, and is adapting to her new home, they came out with this:
Too much for words I would say.
* If you haven't seen it already, I would highly recommend watching this video first.

You must buy this.
Bess outdid herself (again) with her 2012 Everyday Objects calendar.
Not only are the images perfect for framing, the words are translated into English, French and German. Can't be beat I'd say. You may remember me raving last year. That calendar has occupied a prominent spot in our tiny kitchen ever since.
You can pre-order your calendar for a promotional steal of 20$ over at The English Muffin Shop. (Offer ends October 31st!)

Thanks Bess!
Bess over at English Muffin gave us some props this week.
Not to mention a very sweet set of photos.
We couldn't be happier that she is expecting!

An adoption story
I appear to be more tearful than usual these days, but this one really got me. The talent and love that exists in this world is quite mind-blowing don't you think?

Nie Nie
I've blogged about my love of Nie Nie before, and thought I'd express a little more love because truly the woman deserves it. I enjoy reading about her life so much. Her children, home, day to day musings. Her marriage is so sweet and real, and she writes with a mix of punch and grace. A real inspiration!
xx
P.S. This video of Nie and her family is so sweet and I won't lie, made me shed a tear (or two).
P.P.S. Her 2011 calendar is absolutely charming!

2011 calendar love

I recently purchased the sweetest 2011 calendar, Counting in the Kitchen. So sweet that I am eagerly awaiting the new year to hang it in my kitchen.. although I may play it slightly ahead of the game. Especially since we'll be away for all of January and February.
I am also thinking it would make a FANTASTIC gift..

happy 2010
Apologies for being MIA this past while, the end of the semester + the holiday haramaki madness meant blogging took a backseat I'm afraid. But we're back!
I'm also very happy to introduce our new UK partner for Haramaki Love: Nukunuku
If you're in the UK, check it out!
And here's to the happiest of 2010 to all.

I just LOVE this woman

Her name is Nie Nie, and she has been through an incredible ordeal in the last year.
Tomorrow, Wednesday October 7, she will be on Oprah. Check it.
I love her so much that I sent her two haramakis last week, just like that. I wanted her to have them, and truth be told, I can't get her off my mind.
I can pretty much guarantee that you will be touched by her story, too.

Etsy Stalker rocks!

The talented Curator Beatrice of Etsy Stalker wrote a lovely product review on Haramaki Love, chock full of juicy stuff including what I thought was a pretty hilarious post office anecdote.
Check it out here!
