As a longstanding fan of stripes, I cannot seem to tire of them.
This past Spring, I was pumped about my new summer dress:
And then, merely a few weeks later, I came across Bill Cunningham's On the street: Lining Up.
A glimpse:
First thought: WHOA-HO, Billy Boy. The b&w stripe is the new black? What?
Second thought: New York women, come on! This has gone a little TOO far.
Third thought: [very quietly and rather sheepishly] 'I think he might be talking to me.'
But I still like my dress better (Go stubbornness with a dose of loyalty! (for the dress, obvi))
And wear it anyway, just not that often. And definitely not in New York City. Thanks Bill.
