Miraculously, on our way back
from Italy, we got upgraded to First Class. It was obviously heaven, although we both ended up getting
a little tipsy off of the most delicious New Zealand white wine. This made landing, the ride home and the jet lag a little hairy, shall we say. My mission upon our arrival however was to find the wine. I needed to experience the crisp grapefruit aromas, the intense passion fruit (in a dry wine!) again. I am happy to report that, with a little bit of trial and error, I tracked it down.
Introducing:
From the label: "The Sauvignon Blanc has an enticing bouquet of citrus, passion-fruit, and guava. Its crisp finish is characteristic of Marlborough, New Zealand's premier winegrowing region, and makes this wine a perfect pairing for summer salads, roasted chicken, pan-fried prawns and seafood dishes."
Summer or not, I plan on drinking this all year long.
